Congratulations to the new WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!

Yes, you read that right! Danny and Guinan are the new 2006 Hyperflite Skyhoundz Freestyle World Champions! After a year of really hard work and lots of planning they brought home the cup, which is a pretty big deal for his first time qualifying!

In fact, in their second round of freestyle they scored 9.5 (out of 10) across the board! Everything fell in place and Guinan only missed 3 catches! Danny is glowing and excited (see pictures), yet already planning for next year (it is an obsession!).

If you remember (or read below) they also qualified for Distance and for Pairs freestyle. They tied for 1st place after the first round of each, but unfortunately Guinan had an "impact strain", and to protect her they had to scratch the other rounds. It was a big disappointment after all their hard work -- especially since MANY people favored them to take home the win in both categories! (Guinan is doing well thanks to a vet and an animal sports therapist who treated her at the event). There is always next year!

I was bummed to have to have missed the event, and glad when they returned (since the baby is due in less then 2 weeks!), but SO very proud. It is hard to convey what a big deal it is to win what they did. It was like taking gold in the Olympics!!

Three cheers for Danny and Guinan! Bark! Woof! Bark!

Yahooo!!! You all have to be so proud! I know I am!! This is just so awesome!! Danny you rock! Guinan's daddy Rip loves to leap into the air just for fun, good to see it has been put to good use in his daughter. Of course you said it before, with parents like Rip and Quick how else would their daughter turn out in the capable hands of Danny and Jamie.
Congratulations again!! I am beyond joyful with tears in my eyes that another one of my grandpups excells!
Slurps and hugs..
Janine and the rest of the Comebye doggies!
