Daddy/Riker Building Project
Riker and I decided to do a building project together. The first thing we did was head to Lowes to buy the needed lumber. All we needed was 6 2x4's. (Thanks to Grandpa Egg for the plywood!) Riker was a huge help at the store pushing he cart around and counting the 2x4's to make sure that we got 6 of them. He even "helped" load them into the van. When we got home that is when the real work began for both of us.
First thing we had to do was get all of the wood unloaded into the garage.
After all the wood is unloaded then we had to head to the basement to do some measuring. Riker was very good at holding the tape measure so it wouldn't move while I took the measurement.
Then it was back to the garage to mark the board and use the speed square to prepare them for cutting.
Then of course you can't cut the wood without getting an extension cord to hook up the saw for Dad.
At this point Riker was a very good boy and sat on the back steps while Dad did all the cutting. And then when he had the boards cut and took them to the basement, Riker was really good about making sure none of his toys got in our way by playing with them. In the end it was an awesome project that both of us just loved.
Of course you knew someone would have to sit on something that was built at the Eggleston house. Riker was so proud of the "wood" he helped make!
Finished Project.
