Eggleston Ornaments
My dad (Danny here) Jim makes Christmas ornaments every year. The ornaments have to do with events that have occurred during the year with members of the family. I thought we would share with everyone the ornaments that he made this year and what they meant. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
Dad joined the Red Cross this year and has become very involved. He has been on many fire calls, he has even gone to Ohio for 2 weeks, and he has helped out with the tornado in Nappanee, and many other things.
This ornament signifies the trip dad made to North Carolina last January only to find that a pipe had busted in the kitchen because the furnace stopped working and the whole house flooded, causing him to spend MANY weeks there while it all got fixed.
If you can't tell what this represents then you haven't come to our blog often enough. This is our new house, in almost EVERY detail. The roof is the exact look of how our roof is done. Windows are all the right place, and so on.
We got a new dog named Potter, so he created a dog named Potter in a pot.
Danny's brother Ben started his 3rd new profession this year. He became a school teacher. No one was for certain if this is last stop on where the profession wagon stops, so why not put it on a rollway sign that could change.
Ben's girlfriend Anita needed to be initiated onto the tree, and since she works as a waitress at Bob Evans, he created a Waitress working at Bob Evans (you can't see the name tag, but it Says "Anita, Bob Evans"
Sydney turned 1 this year. That pretty much covers this "one".
Dad dresses up like Donald Duck every Halloween and travels the area. He decided it was worthy of a duck head on the tree and we all agree!

The tent above represents the sleeping quarters that Danny's brother, Ben and his girlfriend, Anita, had when they stayed in line all night at a new Chick-Fil-A to win 52 free meals for being 1 of the first 100 customers.
Mom and Dad's 35th anniversary.
I hope you think these are as amazing as we do, because we think they are COOL how good they are. If you are ever around their house at Christmas time you should stop over. The tree is so full of these ornaments that a second tree is now needed!
