North Carolina Take 2

Sorry for the long delay before posting the second half the of the North Carolina Trip!

We did many other fun activities while we were in the mountains, but one of them stands out above the rest. At least we think it did to Sydney. One morning really early (before dawn) all of us got up and went to an area that has wild Elk. It is a 45 minute drive on winding, narrow dirt roads but well worth it. What we saw was amazing. We counted over 30 elk that morning. And they were REALLY close to the car.

Sydney was very interested in them. Actually we were surprised how much she focused on them! And when she was done looking she waved and them and told them "bye-bye" and just sat and waited for us to leave.

Another place we went was an area just outside of the Smokey Mountain National Park to a pioneer farm. We went to look at Chickens and horses and cows. But the only animals that were there were the chickens, but Sydney didn't mind, she was just in love with the grass!

And everytime the roosters crowed she'd throw her hands to her face in surprise:

While we were playing in the grass I picked up a stick to use as a walking stick for fun, and here is what Sydney, our little imitator, did.

She's Cute isn't she?

While you are in the mountians of North Carolina you are just too close to Gatlinburg not to go over for at least one day. On the way through the park we stopped at the top and took some photos and looked around.

In Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge we did some shopping and looking around. Sydney's favorite part of being there was a strip mall in Pigeon Forge that she got to run around at.

We just had to include this very cute picture of Sydney and Grandpa in Pigeon Forge.

We spent one of the last days at the house and just let Sydney enjoy the deck and playing in the house. Here are a couple of photos to show just how much fun she was having.

She even enjoyed the car ride home even more than the ride there -- because of her cool new shades!

I hope you have enjoyed the North Carolina trip pictures/videos half as much as we enjoyed being there!
