Christmas Day 2009

It was a wonderful Christmas in our house this year. Sydney is just starting to get the excitement of Christmas. We headed up to get both kids out of bed on Christmas and...well just watch this.

Both kids thought the stockings were really cool and dug right in. We were lucky to get them to slow down so that we could get a couple of videos of them with their stockings.

After the stockings were done we headed to the kitchen for breakfast. The kids were very good about looking but not touching anything under the tree.

With full belly's of Smokey Links, Toast, and the special Chocolate Milk we headed back to the living room to open gifts. The kids did get a lot of cool things. Here is a short video showing some of the things they got.

Riker was "wowed"

Batter's up!

It's as big as he is! He always had to get EVERY bit of paper off of each gift!

"Daddy, say hi toTinkerbell!"

They let mommy and daddy get a few gifts too.

The aftermath (which the kids did help clean up!)

After we finished opening all of the presents I sat down with Sydney and did a little "one on one interview". This was all impromptu. We hope to do this each year to see how the answers change.

The next day we headed to Grandpa and Mimi's house for Christmas. We started the day with getting the new ornaments that Grandpa had made for the year. Instead of doing a picture of each of them here is a short video of him presenting the ornaments.

To see pictures of these videos go to Danny's Facebook page, they will be uploaded there.

Grandpa and Mimi knew how much my brother and I loved our electric car that you could ride in when we were growing up so they bought the kids there own electric 4 wheeler. Here they are taking a quick trip around the backyard.

All in all we had a blast and can't wait to have fun with all the goodies! Hope yours was fun too!

Merry Christmas 2009

Another Christmas season, and the kids in the Eggleston house are very excited (the small ones and the big ones!). Sydney loves to go anywhere and say "THEY'RE READY FOR CHRISTMAS!" (with approval), when she sees people having Christmas lights or decorations up. Riker also loves looking outside of Christmas lights often yelling out "Wow!". It should be fun one of these nights to go driving around to just look at Christmas lights with them.

The kids also LOVE reading and we have Christmas books that we only have out during December. Sydney has even gotten to the point that she tries to read to Riker.

She was saying "This is about baby Jesus, look at the blinking lights!"

Then of course the kids would like to say Merry Christmas to everyone, and I think this video says it all.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
