Mud Room Lockers - Part 3

This is the 3rd and final installment about the Mud room lockers! When we last talked about the lockers the outside walls had just been painted. There has been great progress since this point. First was had to build the ground supports and add the bench. There was a lot of sanding and wood edging that needed to be added to this as well.

After preparing the ground supports and bench the bench was built and painted.

After getting the bench built the project moved along fairly quickly, with the up and down supports and shelves being added in...starting to look pretty cool huh?

After those were in all that was left was to paint the shelves and put the molding in after doing a bit of drywall (yuck!). The painting went fairly quickly. The molding was a bit tedious, but we got it all up.

AND...after only about 2 months of work (evenings and weekends here and there) we have a final product. Jamie said it looks very "Pottery Barn".

Here is video explaining the final steps we went through to complete the project.

And no project would be complete without some fun. Otherwise there would be no reason to be doing the projects at all right!? :-)

Thank you for joining us on this fun project. We already love, love, love having the lockers!

Building Mud Room Lockers - Part 2

As we continue working on the lockers the area begins to take shape.

Then of course there was all the help that my 2 little helpers gave. Here the kids are helping to put some of the drywall pieces up.

Sydney works high.

Riker works low.

This is a great crew of painters.

TO BE CONTINUED....we hope
