Stupid People

I have been meaning to post this quote, it is the clear winner for Dumbest thing I have heard about a baby...

Danny, Sydney and I were at the mall researching cell phone options. While talking to a pair of young men working at the Nextel booth (in the middle of the mall) one of them leans over the counter, looks at the peacefully sleeping 6 week old Sydney and SAYS with all seriousness...

"Oh, that's a really young baby, her eyes aren't even open yet."

How Danny and I managed to keep straight faces I don't know. I believe I did utter a short, "That's because she's sleeping." I wanted to say so much more but restrained myself.

Yikes! I guess Sydney is all grown up now -- you can see in the previous post her eyes are open! :-) LOL

Incredible Dog and Incredible Baby!

I know, I know...it has been awhile... here's a quick update on Team Eggstreme and sweet li'l Sydney:

Sydney is doing well. And is a pretty darn good baby (not that we have a lot to compare to :-) ). She has been to church, the mall, out to eat and even to Lowe's and JoAnn Fabrics (the grandpas and grandmas should love those!). And she behaved well on all her trips. She even sleeps through the night up to 9 hours at a time! But usually I get up once a night at around 4 - 5 am and then she will sleep until 9 am ! We know we are lucky. Also, she is awake most of the day -- and happy and smiling most of that time! Her smiles have proven hard to catch on film, but here are a couple pictures of it.


In any case Sydney is a joy! The new challenge is that mommy has some work coming in starting this week...will Sydney let her get it done?! Stay tuned...

Team Eggstreme news! Danny and Guinan recently went to Harrisburg, PA for a disc dog tourney that was part of the Incredible Dog Challenge. This event was by invitation only and Danny was really excited to be there! What he didn't know was that a clip of them would end up on National TV!! One of the other events at the challenge was a big AKC dog show that was televised on NBC on thanksgiving. When going to commercial during the show they mentioned all the other events (like disc dog) and while they were talking they showed 15 - 30 sec of Team Eggstreme performing! Unfortunately we didn't see it (if you taped the show let us know!).





Another perk of this event is that one of Danny's old college buddies lived close-by. Chris Locker and his lovely family even let Team Eggstreme stay at their house, which was extra nice since they had years of separation to catch up on!




Chris and Wife Julie have two children daughter Cassidy and new baby boy Rylan.
